Synesthesia is a condition in which one sense (for example, hearing) is simultaneously perceived as if by one or more additional senses such as sight. Another form of synesthesia joins objects such as letters, shapes, numbers or people's names with a sensory perception such as smell, color or flavor.

The Sound Project is designed to create a synesthesia effect by combining  music with visual of artwork from the Lioda Initiative

interesting phenomenon.

Each note has a colour attached to it and taking a cross-section of one of my large pieces and painstakingly attaching a note to the colours as it appears or changes in my work makes the music thereof. IT was an interesting project to see if what I did would sound like anything at all or just a garbled noise. To realize that in my work was melody and cohesion to hear a real melody and a real feel towards the work. It is also a way for the non-seeing community to hear what art might look like, to grasp an image in their minds towards art.

The sound project will be an endeavour by musicians and artist to work together to compose the music of art. To then set what they find to music and to actual scores, thus melding a yet unknown genre of THE MUSIC OF ART.

We look forward to bringing The Sound Project to full studio production and record the first DVD in 2019.
